About the job Accounting Intern (Jakarta, Indonesia)
The Accounting Interns will have the opportunity to learn and gain first-hand experience in a real finance department for a corporate.
Under the supervision of a senior staff, the Accounting Interns can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about accounting software, and assist with other accounting activities.
They should be self-motivated team players who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking. To be a strong candidate for an Accounting Internship, he or she shall possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties and eventually learn to be independently carry out the duties
- Working with Accounting software (Navision) and Business intelligence reporting software
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and operations.
Requirements:
- Actively working towards a Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting.
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles (for e.g. IFRS).
- Aptitude for mathematics, proficiency with computers, strong analytical and critical mindset.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
