About the job Independent Prescribing Pharmacist
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Prescribing Pharmacist to join our client in a full-time, remote role. You will be part of our newly-established clinical services team, with opportunities to shape and influence their prescribing strategy. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Pharmacist, Superintendent Pharmacist, Medical Director, and CQC Registered Manager, along with their tech and marketing teams.
As a dynamic digital pharmacy, interest and some experience in clinical governance are desirable. This full-time, permanent role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person sessions in London or Manchester (travel expenses covered). The position mainly involves weekday work, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide prescribing services to patients, following agreed protocols and clinical pathways.
Prescribe and review medications for therapeutic effectiveness, in accordance with evidence-based practice and company protocols.
Support patient compliance and adherence to prescribed treatments.
Communicate sensitively to ensure patients are fully informed.
Operate within your competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the GPhC.
Liaise with the governance team and participate in clinical governance meetings.
Influence our prescribing strategy and operational processes as the function grows.
Requirements:
GPhC registered Pharmacist.
Independent Prescriber qualification is essential.
Advanced Clinical Practitioner MSc/PGDip is preferable.
Experience as an Independent Prescriber.
Ability to work flexibly, efficiently, and autonomously while maintaining high service quality.
Interest in supporting the growth of a high-growth digital pharmacy is desirable.
