They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for both new and established customers in the marine, seafood, vessel, and shipyard industries. This pivotal role focuses on driving sales growth, fostering strong customer relationships, and providing technical expertise and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking new systems, expansions, or parts/service for existing systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the marine, seafood, vessel, and shipyard industries.
- Follow established sales procedures and accurately quote prices, terms of sales, and delivery dates.
- Conduct sales calls and proactively reach out to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team for technical and sales support on parts, repairs, and new applications.
- Utilize the company's CRM to track, plan, and document sales activities.
- Aid in the design and development of custom systems and solutions.
- Ensure prompt delivery of products, technical support, and resolution of customer concerns.
- Set up training sessions and execute plans to drive business growth.
- Promote sales growth and contribute to profit management goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside industrial sales.
- Established contacts and deep knowledge of the seafood, marine, vessel, and shipyard industries.
- Engineering or technical degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of industrial fluid-handling equipment with the ability to discuss technical details confidently.
- Excellent negotiation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Self-directed, motivated, and capable of working independently to achieve targets.
- Ability to perform both individually and collaboratively within a team setting.
