The Account Manager will play a vital role in driving business development efforts, managing client accounts, and contributing to the growth of the organization. This position is responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and preparing proposals to secure projects. Additionally, the role involves overseeing client pricing, managing accounts receivable, supporting quality assurance efforts, and representing the company at industry events and trade shows.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to prospective and existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching prospective projects through phone calls, client visits, conferences, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with Chief Engineers, Account Managers, and Property Managers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development, Project Managers, and Engineering Supervisors to enhance account programs and meet targeted objectives.
  • Analyze client needs and provide solution-based programs to maximize sales growth, volume, and profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver client proposals, including financial and technical sections, using standard templates and pricing models.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Manage client accounts, including maintaining pricing, monitoring payments, and generating P&L reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline is preferred.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in HVAC commercial services, Facilities Management, or Operations and Maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in developing financial and technical proposals.
  • Proven sales aptitude, including strong customer presentation skills and financial acumen in cost modeling.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Competitive, goal-oriented, and high-energy personality with a strong ambition to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to building client relationships.
