About the Role
We are recruiting a highly competent and professional Security Patrol and Response Officer to join our Patrol and Response Team. You will be responsible for carrying out targeted and responsive patrols to assist our clients in a range of functions, including carrying out lock-up duties, proactively patrolling estates, supporting lone workers, and responding to alarm events.
Patrol and Response Officers are key frontline team members, reporting to the Regional Operations Officer. You will be typically vehicle-based, deploying from our bases in Aylesbury, carrying out various duties throughout a typical 10-hour shift.
An ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority and possess a high level of professionalism, the ability to deal with situations calmly yet confidently and make well-reasoned and proportionate decisions, often under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Proactively patrol the assigned premises, internally and externally.
- Lock up and alarm the clients premises in accordance with assignment instructions, ensuring all exits, doors and windows are appropriately secured.
- Promptly challenge trespassers and facilitate the safe removal of the same, reporting the same on an incident report.
- Proactively and promptly respond to support colleagues and react to observed threats or alarm activations.
- Investigate suspicious activity, persons and vehicles of interest, sharing information with colleagues, HR, management and the police, as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate records and detailed accounts of incidents.
- Challenge, apprehend, detain and, where appropriate, arrest suspects and liaise with the police to preserve evidence, prepare statements and file incident reports.
- Assist stakeholders as appropriate.
- Act as an Ambassador for the Company, maintaining high standards of driving and professional behaviour.
Requirements and Skills
- Frontline SIA licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision.
- Full Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- First Aid at Work Qualification.
- Proven experience as a security officer.
- Familiarity and competence in report writing.
- Ability to work confidently alone or as part of a team.
