Our client is seeking an IT Service Release Management Analyst to oversee the planning, governance, and execution of technology releases across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that releases are delivered in a controlled, compliant, and low-risk manner while supporting business continuity and operational resilience.

You will work closely with development, QA, operations, and external partners to manage release schedules, assess risks, and ensure releases align with established release management standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and govern technology releases, including scheduling, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment
  • Facilitate release review meetings and maintain oversight of release readiness and approvals
  • Manage and maintain the enterprise release calendar, resolving conflicts and prioritisation issues
  • Partner with development teams to understand release scope, dependencies, and deployment requirements
  • Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with software release management policies and standards
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure adequate testing and release quality assurance
  • Coordinate deployment, rollback, and fallback plans with operations, technology, and external vendors
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks, issues, and conflicts
  • Communicate release plans, risks, and status updates to key stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement of release management processes and controls
  • Prepare management reports on release activity, risk classifications, and trends
  • Track, analyse, and report release management KPIs and performance metrics
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews for failed releases, rollbacks, or incident-related releases
  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture with a focus on resilience and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in technology release management or IT service management
  • Experience in financial services, payments, or regulated environments is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent releases in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of ITIL / IT Service Management frameworks
  • Hands-on knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and release management practices
  • Experience with release management and DevSecOps tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, GitHub, Bitbucket, AWS CodePipeline
  • ServiceNow experience is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
