Job Title: Chief Technical Officer (CTO) - Apparel Sector

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our company as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in the apparel sector. As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations, ensuring technical quality, driving product development, and ensuring compliance within our apparel manufacturing and retail business.

Responsibilities:

Technical Quality Management: Establish and implement robust quality management systems specific to the apparel sector. Ensure that technical quality standards are met throughout the production process, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing and final product inspection. Continuously monitor and evaluate technical processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Product Development: Lead the product development team in designing and developing innovative apparel products that meet customer demands and align with market trends. Drive the product roadmap, collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches. Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate new technologies and materials into the product development process.

Compliance Management: Stay informed about relevant regulations, certifications, and standards within the apparel sector, including safety, environmental, and ethical considerations. Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance throughout the organization and supply chain.

Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives in the apparel sector. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes, and assess their potential impact on the business. Make strategic recommendations for technology adoption and integration to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technical team specialized in apparel design, production, and quality control. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting their professional growth and development within the apparel sector.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders such as suppliers and regulatory agencies. Understand business requirements, address technical challenges, and drive consensus on technical decisions. Act as a technical advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations related to the apparel sector.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering). A higher degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 15  20 years of experience in technical roles within the apparel sector, including experience in technical quality management, product development, and compliance. Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing technical teams and driving strategic initiatives specific to apparel manufacturing and retail.

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of technical quality management methodologies and best practices within the apparel sector. Strong understanding of apparel product development processes, including pattern making, material sourcing, and garment construction. Familiarity with relevant compliance standards and regulations in the apparel industry.

Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex technical problems within the apparel sector, and formulate effective solutions. Proven track record in developing and executing technical strategies that drive business growth and innovation specifically in the apparel industry.

Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in the apparel sector. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management within the apparel industry.

Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the apparel sector, including trends, consumer preferences, and manufacturing processes. Proven ability to leverage industry knowledge to drive technical excellence, product innovation, and competitive advantage within the apparel industry.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment specific to the apparel sector, adapting to changing business needs, fashion trends, and market demands.
