Job Summary
As a Senior Manager in Supply Chain, your role is to provide strategic leadership and oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations of an organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and enhancing overall supply chain performance.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring their performance. Ensuring timely delivery of quality materials or services while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast demand, develop inventory plans, and ensure appropriate stock levels. Utilizing demand planning tools and techniques to optimize inventory management.
- Monitoring inventory levels, analyzing inventory data, and implementing strategies to minimize excess stock or stockouts. Optimizing inventory turnover, implementing just-in-time (JIT) principles, and improving supply chain agility.
- Overseeing transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. Coordinating with logistics providers to ensure efficient movement of goods, tracking shipments, and managing customs and regulatory compliance.
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, streamlining operations, and implementing best practices. Utilizing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to drive operational excellence within the supply chain.
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, including disruptions, supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and regulatory compliance. Developing contingency plans and ensuring business continuity.
Prerequisites
- Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent qualification.
- Working experience in manufacturing/FMCG industry is a must.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
