Job Summary:
The Head of Human Resources - Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function of a leading Multinational FMCG Company. This role requires a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and its unique HR needs. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with the executive team and department managers to develop and implement effective HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization's goals and support the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the manufacturing organization's overall business goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on HR matters related to workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee development, and retention.
Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with department managers to assess current and future workforce needs. Develop and implement effective strategies for attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent in the company.
Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee discipline, conflict resolution, and employee engagement. Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee satisfaction, productivity, and well-being.
Compensation and Benefits: Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain high-performing employees. Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure that the organization's compensation packages remain competitive within the manufacturing industry.
Training and Development: Collaborate with department managers to identify training and development needs for employees at all levels. Design and implement effective training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and make adjustments as necessary.
HR Policies and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with applicable labor laws and regulations. Ensure that the organization maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation. Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding necessary updates to HR policies and practices.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership to communicate HR-related metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and support. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the HR team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
