Job Description:
- Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Track project costs, manage change orders, and ensure financial alignment with project milestones.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports on project performance, including cost analysis, profitability, and cash flow.
- Provide insights into financial variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget.
- Implement cost control measures and conduct regular financial reviews to identify and address cost overruns.
- Manage cash flow for construction projects, including invoicing, collections, and payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure timely cash flow to support project operations and maintain financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare financial documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
- Streamline financial workflows to support project efficiency and profitability.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, including junior accountants and financial analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and external auditors.
- Provide financial insights and support to senior management and project teams.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, project cost management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage financial data and provide actionable insights for project and business decisions.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malayu.
