Job Description:

  • Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Track project costs, manage change orders, and ensure financial alignment with project milestones.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports on project performance, including cost analysis, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Provide insights into financial variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget.
  • Implement cost control measures and conduct regular financial reviews to identify and address cost overruns.
  • Manage cash flow for construction projects, including invoicing, collections, and payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure timely cash flow to support project operations and maintain financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare financial documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
  • Streamline financial workflows to support project efficiency and profitability.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, including junior accountants and financial analysts.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and external auditors.
  • Provide financial insights and support to senior management and project teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, project cost management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage financial data and provide actionable insights for project and business decisions.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malayu.
