About the job Business Development Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Take lead responsibility for the sales and marketing of our full range of semiconductor equipment across Penang, Malaysia, and selected global accounts.

2. Drive new business development, with a strong focus on identifying and acquiring new customers to achieve sales growth and meet revenue targets in semiconductor equipment, custom manufacturing, and automation solutions.

3. Collaborate with Technology and Engineering teams to review and interpret product and performance specifications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and technical requirements.

4. Lead Sales Kick-Off meetings and work cross-functionally to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

5. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across existing and prospective clients to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities.

6. Conduct ongoing market research and intelligence to identify emerging trends, technology shifts, and new business opportunities aligned with customers roadmaps.

7. Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, including competitor strategies, new product launches, market positioning, customer feedback, and technological advancements.

8. Prepare and manage annual sales forecasts, and deliver periodic performance reviews and sales reports to senior management.

9. Evaluate performance gaps against defined sales strategies and take proactive steps to ensure KPIs and revenue goals are consistently met.

10. Willingness to travel both locally and internationally as required for customer engagements, site visits, industry events, and strategic meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; formal training in sales or business development is a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within the semiconductor or automation industry.

3. In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, especially back-end processes and packaging trends.

4. Demonstrated success in equipment-level sales and marketing, with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding targets.

5. Well-connected within the industry, particularly among semiconductor packaging, assembly, and test houses.

6. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

7. Fluent in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, both written and spoken to effectively communicate in a multicultural business environment.
