About the job Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Present NMG's capabilities in plastic injection molding, tooling, custom manufacturing, product assembly, and value-added manufacturing solutions to prospective OEM customers.
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new OEM customers across target industries, including Medical Devices, Industrial Products, Consumer Electronics, Automotive Components, Ai, and Human Machine Interface (HMI).
- Generate new business through cold calling, lead generation, networking, referrals, trade shows, customer visits, and strategic business development activities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with decision-makers across Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Executive Management.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve annual revenue, gross margin, pipeline growth, and new customer acquisition targets.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, customer discovery, RFQ management, quotation development, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions through project award.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Tooling, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain teams to develop competitive and commercially sound customer proposals.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, opportunity tracking, sales forecasts, and customer activity records.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer demand, and new business opportunities across Southeast Asia and assigned international markets.
- Travel extensively to develop customer relationships, conduct business reviews, support commercial activities, and secure new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in Business Development, OEM Sales, Industrial Sales, Technical Sales, Manufacturing Sales, or Contract Manufacturing.
- Proven track record in new customer acquisition, hunter sales, account penetration, prospecting, and revenue growth.
- This role is primarily focused on acquiring new customers and winning new business, rather than managing existing accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify prospects, develop opportunities, and close new business without relying on existing customer accounts.

- Ability to understand engineering drawings, discuss DFM recommendations with engineering teams, and communicate manufacturing capabilities and limitations to customers.
- Experience selling custom-manufactured plastic components, injection molds, tooling solutions, contract manufacturing, or engineered manufacturing solutions is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of secondary and value-added manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, and opening new accounts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or equivalent is preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40–60% within Southeast Asia and internationally.
