About the job senior tax analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation, review, and timely filing of all tax compliances.
- Responsible for gathering and analyzing relevant data and summarizing results in a clear manner for external auditor review.
- Support continuous improvements in tax processes by exercising out of the box thinking to optimize efficiency.
- Support tax compliance process.
- Participate in special tax projects.
- Supports ad-hoc tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting processional qualification.
- At least 5 - 8 years of tax or accounting experience in Big 4 or U.S./Canada/EMEA and International tax experience is an added advantage.
- Understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and preferably experience with International tax laws and principles.
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong organization and documentation skills are required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively gather, assess, analyze financial and tax information.
- Self-motivated and confidence to independently address issues.
- Ability to design and build clear and effective workpapers and tax models
- Independent thinker who can work effectively in ambiguity
- Resourceful and results oriented.
- Passionate with tax principles and tax accounting.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule as required to collaborate closely with colleagues in different time zones
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure in a changing and diverse environment and manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
- Self-motivated and confidence to independently address issues.
- Strong MS Excel skills. Alteryx is a plus.
- OneSource Tax provision (OTP) software, SAP/ other ERP system knowledge is an added advantage.
