Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Director to lead our team of Hotel Landscape Designers. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape design for hotels, resorts, and other hospitality properties. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to create stunning and functional outdoor spaces that enhance the overall guest experience. Overseeing 15 staff all over the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Hotel Landscape Designers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality work and timely project delivery
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop innovative and sustainable landscape design solutions
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for design development
- Develop conceptual and detailed landscape plans, including hardscape and softscape elements, irrigation systems, lighting, and other features
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for landscape projects
- Oversee the selection and procurement of plants, materials, and other resources needed for landscape projects
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and codes related to landscape design and construction
- Manage project timelines and budgets, and make adjustments as needed to meet project goals
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and stakeholders on project status and progress
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in landscape design to incorporate into projects and maintain a competitive edge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in landscape design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
- Extensive knowledge of landscape design principles, techniques, and materials
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and other stakeholders
- Proficient in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software
- Knowledge of local regulations and codes related to landscape design and construction
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for sustainability and incorporating eco-friendly practices into landscape design
- Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings as needed
