Tax Accountant Responsibilities
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Support the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in managing and reviewing financial records and reports to ensure their accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on changes in Australian tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Help in the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Provide support in delivering tax planning and advisory services to clients, addressing tax-related inquiries, and offering strategic solutions.
- Participate in assisting with the preparation of various tax-related documents, ensuring proper documentation and client support.
- Learn from and assist senior tax accountants in mentoring junior staff, gaining valuable experience and skills.
Requirements:
- Understanding of Tax returns, BAS, GST, and FBT in Australia.
- Proficiency in MYOB AE software.
- Australian Tax Experience.
- CA/CPA or willing to undertake.
