Optimus is assisting a top-tier provider of innovative electronics and technology solutions in recruiting an Accounting Head.
Location: Manila
Work Setup: Onsite; Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting department - Supervise and mentor a team of 10 accounting personnel to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation and general ledger activities.
- Oversee all accounting operations
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate the annual audit and tax compliance process.
- Provide Strategic Guidance to Senior Management
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
