About the client

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Makati City, Philippines, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Finance Controller to join their team.

Role Description

Works closely with the Chief Finance Officer in overseeing improvement projects, implementing finance-related initiatives and coaching the team.

• Ensures to have effective working capital and treasury management and tax compliance and audit
• Hire, train, motivate, manage and oversee the financial operations / accounting team.
• Lead and manage finance automation and transformation projects involving people, systems, tools and processes.
• Ensures proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records in accordance with applicable regulatory and financial reporting frameworks
• Prepares monthly reports.
• Prepares the filing of periodic tax and other statutory returns before the relevant regulatory bodies in the Philippines Liaise with local auditors and local regulators (e.g., BIR, SEC, BOI, BSP and Insurance Commission)
• Observes and enforces compliance to business controls ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, integrity & business focus of financial systems & processes
• Ensures to have timely and accurate P&L, revenue and cost recognition based on POC
• Ensures to have overall accounts reconciliation with analysis and timely closure of reconciling items
• Adheres to policies & procedure & TOA with proper documentation, and recommends update when necessary.

Qualifications

• Career experience in construction and service-related industries are an advantage.
• Must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least eight (8) years of related work experience, three (3) years of which in managerial capacity
• High competency in maximizing computer operating systems and digital platforms, such as Microsoft Excel and Word, SAP Systems (particularly SAP HANA) and ANA Plan
• Above average grasp of concepts, laws, practices and principles pertinent to accounting, auditing and financial operations
• Trustworthy and strong orientation to details
• Hands-on to financial operations day-to-day deliverables
• Must be willing to work onsite in Makati
