About the job Accountant (Marine)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the closing of the companys monthly financial statements.
- Ensure timely completion of financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
- Manage quarterly GST submissions and other statutory filings, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Handle the operational flow of finance documents.
- Administer petty cash and claims, both locally and internationally.
- Manage all banking matters, especially trade transactions.
- Provide weekly updates on TR and inward bills reports.
- Prepare weekly cash flow reports.
- Reconcile statements of accounts for major suppliers and debtors on a monthly basis.
- Update project costing regularly.
- Conduct detailed analysis of monthly financials, including audit schedules, sales summaries, stock movement reports, and more.
- Ensure the smooth operation of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a diploma in accountancy or other relevant qualifications.
- At least three years of accounting experience.
- Experience with MS Navision is highly advantageous.
- Must be responsible and willing to work extended hours during financial closings.
- Should possess a positive attitude, be well-organized, and have a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
