About the job Accountant (Marine)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the closing of the companys monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Manage quarterly GST submissions and other statutory filings, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Handle the operational flow of finance documents.
  • Administer petty cash and claims, both locally and internationally.
  • Manage all banking matters, especially trade transactions.
  • Provide weekly updates on TR and inward bills reports.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile statements of accounts for major suppliers and debtors on a monthly basis.
  • Update project costing regularly.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of monthly financials, including audit schedules, sales summaries, stock movement reports, and more.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have a diploma in accountancy or other relevant qualifications.
  • At least three years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with MS Navision is highly advantageous.
  • Must be responsible and willing to work extended hours during financial closings.
  • Should possess a positive attitude, be well-organized, and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
