About the job HSEQ Executive
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and flow of safety management documentation.
- Conduct quality checks on documents in line with the companys document control procedures, ensuring compliance within an ISO-certified environment. Identify and report any compliance issues.
- Ensure timely completion of reports and correspondence by functional departments across company entities.
- Monitor HSEQ programs, maintain records, and prepare necessary status reports and tender documents.
- Participate in incident investigations, ensuring reports include root cause analysis and lessons learned, and upload them to the company database.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of internal and external Health and Safety Alerts, as well as Incident Management information.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a positive safety culture within the organization.
- Participate in internal office and vessel audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Support external audits and assist in organizing management reviews.
- Track and maintain fleet HSEQ statistics and the customer satisfaction index.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HSEQ Manager.
Job Requirements:
- A team player who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Possesses at least a Specialist Diploma in a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) discipline or a relevant Marine-related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in HSE, particularly within the Marine, Shipping, or Ship repair industry.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for HSE practices.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Has completed occupational health and safety training and has practical experience in HSEQ-related tasks.
- Knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, incident investigation techniques, and risk management is preferred.
- Ideally, holds qualifications as an internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
