Job Description:

A Middle School Teacher is responsible for delivering subject-specific instruction to students aged 11-14 (Grades 6-8). The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement subject-specific lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons using a variety of teaching strategies.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and class participation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with parents.
  • Manage classroom behavior and foster a disciplined yet supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Education or a subject-specific field (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, etc.).
  • Certification: Teaching license or certification (depending on country requirements).
  • Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong subject knowledge and teaching ability.
    • Effective classroom management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to engage and motivate young adolescents.
    • Adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching international curricula (IB MYP, British, American, etc.).
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Additional certifications in Special Education or English as a Second Language (ESL) are a plus.
