About the job Sales Manager (Marine)


  • Find, evaluate, and close inbound and outbound sales opportunities in the power plant, maritime, marine, and offshore industries.
  • Create and implement territory plans and sales strategies to meet and surpass predetermined goals.
  • Oversee whole sales cycles with fleet operators, shipowners, shipyards, OEMs, service providers, and industrial end users.
  • Use CRM tools to keep a robust and accurate sales funnel, and give management regular reports.
  • Use in-depth technical knowledge to convey product value propositions, system integration, and differentiators.
  • Perform technical briefings, product demonstrations, customer visits, and presentations.
  • Keep an eye on rival activities, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Establish and maintain long-term client relationships and important accounts
  • Serve as the main point of contact for technical, business, and post-purchase cooperation.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or a similar field
  • Certification in sales and marketing or an MBA is advantageous.
  • At least seven years of expertise in B2B industrial sales
  • A track record of success in selling technological products
  • A robust industrial network
  • Technical knowledge of heat exchangers, filtering systems, pumps, and separation systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating abilities
  • Experience with pipeline management and CRM
  • The ability to travel around South India on a regular basis
