Service Coordinator (Marine)
About the job Service Coordinator (Marine)
- Create a new service project job number via ERP.
- Evaluate the customer's request and provide guidance on the best course of action based on the warranty or maintenance contract.
- Work along with the supervisor or field service engineers to ascertain how many staff, parts and equipment are required for service visits.
- Provide Service Engineers with job orders and vessel schedules that include comprehensive work instructions for the assignments, and process all information in the appropriate systems.
- Discuss the work schedule in a debriefing with the service engineer or engineers.
- Keep clients updated on the status of service requests and manage all correspondence pertaining to them.
- Make sure all work is properly documented, and handle invoice payment as soon as possible.
- To maximise the order book, you use a proactive approach to customers.
- Help the manager create quotes for client questions and handle all customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner. (For instance, following up with service reports and other papers).
- Assist service managers with project management so they may attend client meetings and manage service initiatives.
- For potential sales prospects, collaborate with the sales department.
- Assure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Additional tasks and obligations as delegated by the department.
Qualifications:
- Electrical, electronics, automation, and instrumentation engineering bachelor's degree or diploma.
- Two to three years of experience in service coordination positions is required.
- Outstanding academic performance and technical expertise in the maritime domain.
- Outstanding communication abilities.
- Advantages include ERP (SAP), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and computer ability.
