About the job M&E Project Engineer (Construction)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision & Coordination: Oversee daily M&E site operations, ensuring installation works (ACMV, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Sanitary systems) align with approved drawings, project specifications, and master schedules.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise closely with clients, architectural/structural teams, professional engineers (PEs), consultants, and relevant subcontractors to resolve technical conflicts and site execution issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all M&E installations strictly adhere to Singapore statutory requirements and codes of practice, including BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, and NEA regulations.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety: Implement stringent QA/QC procedures to achieve targeted CONQUAS or Quality Mark standards. Enforce workplace safety and health (WSH) policies on-site to maintain a zero-incident environment.
  • Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project milestones, prepare regular progress reports for management, and manage the procurement and delivery schedules of M&E materials and equipment.
  • Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Lead and coordinate the final testing, commissioning, and handover phases of M&E systems, ensuring smooth turn-over to the client or facilities management team.
  • Cost & Variation Management: Assist the Quantity Surveyor (QS) team in verifying site measurements, managing variation orders (VOs), and evaluating subcontractor progress claims.
