About the job Project Engineer

1. Project Planning & Coordination

Assist Project Manager in planning and executing M&E works.

Prepare project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.

Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, architects, and clients.

Attend site coordination and progress meetings.

Identify delays and propose corrective actions. 


2. Site Management & Supervision

Supervise daily site activities.

Ensure installation complies with approved drawings and specifications.

Coordinate site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.

Monitor manpower productivity and resource allocation.

Resolve technical and construction issues on site. 


3. Technical Engineering Duties

Review construction drawings and specifications.

Prepare shop drawings and material submissions.

Verify quantities and site measurements.

Conduct technical reviews before installation.

Ensure compliance with BCA, SCDF, PUB, and project requirements. 


4. Procurement & Material Control

Source and procure materials and equipment.

Coordinate deliveries according to project schedule.

Verify material compliance with specifications.

Monitor inventory and minimize wastage.

Liaise with suppliers and vendors. 


5. Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

Arrange inspections and testing.

Coordinate commissioning activities.

Prepare testing documentation.

Attend inspections with consultants and authorities.

Rectify defects identified during testing. 


6. Contract Administration

Track variation orders (VO).

Prepare progress claims.

Verify subcontractor claims.

Maintain project records and correspondence.

Support tender and cost-control activities. 


7. Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure works comply with project specifications.

Monitor safety requirements and permit systems.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks.

Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions.

Support ISO, BizSAFE, and project QA/QC requirements. 


8. Project Handover

Compile as-built drawings.

Prepare O&M manuals.

Close punch-list items.

Coordinate final handover to client.

Support defect liability period activities.
