About the job Maintenance Coordinator
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the spare parts inventory and providing supply support to the Maintenance team. This role ensures the efficient operation of the plant by delivering timely inventory support to various departments as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and complete inventory counts as required, including end of year blind counts.
- Develop and maintain an inventory system utilizing the company ERP system.
- Clean and organize various inventory locations.
- Track/maintain/and allocate parts on inventory check out sheets using ERP system and/or spreadsheets.
- Maintain records both hard copy and electronic of packing lists, checkout sheets, inventory count reports, etc.
- Process receiving as appropriate.
- Locate goods in designated receiving areas.
- Receive materials in the ERP system and tag materials as required.
- Move tagged goods to the designated inventory locations.
- Kit work orders/PMs.
- Ensure proper documentation is matched with all requisitions/orders.
- Coordinates with Purchasing on quotations, requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Work with Purchasing on weekly reorders and reorder points (ROP) to ensure inventory levels are adequate.
- Assist the maintenance planner as needed.
- Keep Planner aware of inventory levels and parts availability for scheduling purposes.
- Attend Planning meetings.
- Assist in work order management as support and/or backup as directed.
- Function as backup to Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor as required.
- Act as an essential member of the Maintenance Leadership Team.
- Complete daily workplace exams and monthly safety audits of designated areas.
- Ensure safe work practices i.e., attending meetings, using required PPE, ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years inventory experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- JDE experience preferred.
- Listens and obtains clarification as needed.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Responds well to questions, writes clearly and informatively.
- Read and interpret documents, such as, Safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Use or learn database software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, ERP software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
