About the job Occupational Therapist
Job Description:
- Assess patient needs,
- Develop their recovery plans, and
- Deliver occupational therapy by designing programs that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
- Train patients and caregivers in the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.
- Collaborating with peers and making referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive.
Qualifications
1. A valid Occupational license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
2. A master’s degree in occupational therapy; or
3. A master’s degree in an Occupational Therapy related field in addition to a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy; or
4. A bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible OT experience.
The qualifying Occupational Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Occupational Therapy.
