IT Technician

A diamond mining company with more than 50 years of experience in producing gem-quality diamonds for the local and international market is seeking an IT technician to join the team. The IT Technician provides technical support to a company's computer systems, network, and users. They diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, install and configure equipment, and ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, printers, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and resolve computer software and hardware issues
• Perform routine maintenance on computer systems and networks
• Install and configure software programs
• Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions
• Respond to user inquiries and requests for technical assistance
• Backup and recover data
• Secure and maintain the integrity of the company's network
• Document IT procedures and solutions
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends

Requirements:

Entry level to mid-level PLC knowledge and some experience

IT skills including but not limited to:

• Office 365 knowledge and experience
• Windows Server knowledge and experience
• Desktop support knowledge and experience
• Microsoft Azure knowledge and experience
• Firewalling experience
• IT Security knowledge
• Ability to learn and work unsupervised.
