IT Technician (Offshore / Vessel Based)

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable IT Technician to join our team on an offshore rotation. This is your chance to combine your technical expertise with an exciting career on the high seas.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of IT hardware and software on our offshore vessels.
• Provide technical support to crew members, resolving any IT issues they may encounter.
• Proactively monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Document and report all IT activities, maintaining detailed records.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies.
• May be required to assist with other vessel operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• A relevant IT qualification (diploma or degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical support role.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid passport (mandatory).
• A recent police clearance certificate (mandatory).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
• PLC knowledge (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a strong advantage.
