Our company is a leading provider of free Wi-Fi content portals in South Africa. We offer users access to a variety of engaging applications and services within our portal while monetising our free Wi-Fi through advertising partnerships with some of the country's most recognised brands. We are looking for a passionate and data-driven UX/UI Analyst/Product Strategist to join our team and play a crucial role in optimising our platform's user experience and driving user engagement.

The UX/UI Analyst/Product Strategist will be responsible for analysing user data and behaviour to identify opportunities for improving the platform's user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). They will work closely with the product team to translate insights into actionable improvements, enhancing the platform's usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and User Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of user data, including usage patterns, clickstream data, heatmaps, and user feedback, to identify areas for improvement in the platform's UX/UI.
  • User Behavior Analysis: Utilize quantitative and qualitative research methods to understand user motivations, needs, and pain points, and develop user personas to guide product strategy and decision-making.
  • UX/UI Optimization: Identify and implement UX/UI improvements that enhance the platform's usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.
  • A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and implement A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of UX/UI changes on user behaviour and key metrics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure seamless integration of UX/UI improvements into the product development lifecycle. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Product Strategy: Contribute to the overall product strategy by providing insights and recommendations based on user data and research.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest UX/UI design trends and best practices and apply them to the platform.
  • UX/UI Design: Translate UX analysis into design improvements, using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Figma to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and extract actionable insights.

  • Deep Understanding of UX/UI: Comprehensive knowledge of UX/UI design principles and best practices, with the ability to evaluate and critique designs from a user-centric perspective.

  • User Research Expertise: Experience conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in using data visualisation tools to communicate findings effectively.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify creative solutions to UX/UI challenges.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

  • Passion for UX/UI: A genuine passion for creating user-friendly and engaging digital experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Psychology, or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in a UX/UI analysis or product strategy role.

  • Experience working with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) and A/B testing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the advertising or media industry.

  • Familiarity with user research tools and methodologies.

  • Experience working with wireframing and prototyping tools.
