Projects

  • Core product (BNM regulated)t: Ongoing maintenance, upgrades and new features

  • Internal: Reporting, dashboarding and APIs

  • External: Building back end integrations, working with the UIUX team to ensure UX / experience

  • R&D: Working with the product team to brainstorm new ideas and create mockups, user experience flow etc

Responsibilities

  • Hands on 80% back end (PHP, Laravel) & 20% front end (React,js, Vue,js)

  • Developing sophisticated backend architecture for reliability, responsiveness and scalability

  • Upskilling a small team (2-3), responsible for their KRA deliverables (Key Result Area)

  • System and Database design, work flow, mock ups

  • Cross-platform Mobile optimization & Designing APIs

  • Reporting to the head of engineering and with support from the CIO

  • You will join a growing Back end focussed team and be part of hiring new juniors

Tech Stack

  • Must be happy to work on PHP Laravel (no prior experience needed) training provided

  • Most successful hires have come from a JavaScript / TypeScript background.

Must have

  • Strong engineer who understands the back end fundamentals.

Location

  • Working 5 days per week from a modern office, with nearby amenities and MRT access 

Levels

  • 5-10 years software engineering experience (not just web development)

  • As a senior or lead you are expected to set the strategy, design and work flow for junior engineers to follow.
