About the job Lead DevOps Engineer: AWS
Project:
- You will be working closely with the Head of Engineering in KL and be their right hand man for DevOps and Cloud related projects & champion a new DevOps culture
- They are 1 year into a much larger digital transformation project and in 2025 want to begin the migration from on-premise to cloud
Responsibilities
- Implement DevOps practices, frameworks, architecture, automation, integrations and processes
- Analyse business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for improvement
- Cloud design, strategy and planning
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment
- Design the CI/CD pipelines for various software projects
Must Have:
- AWS (AWS Certs bonus)
- CI/CD tooling and deployment strategies
- Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to have / Bonus:
- Cloud migration (on prem > Cloud)
- Setting up a DevOps function from scratch
- IaC / Terraform / Ansible
Team / Culture:
- HO Engineering has 10+ years fintech experience
- Work with little supervision and contribute ideas / expertise and take ownership
- Work closely with the existing engineers (KL & SG) and potentially build a team in the future
Location:
- Kuala Lumpur (hybrid working arrangement - 1 day WFH)
Level / Grade:
- This is a senior (hands-on) individual contributor role
- 5+ years recent experience in any combination of Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE / Cloud Architect / Infra
- Total of experience (minimum) 10-15+ years (early career may be engineering, network, systems etc)
