About the job House Attendant
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Evening Shift House Attendant to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the hotel's public areas. This role is essential to creating a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and supporting the overall operation of the housekeeping department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including:
- Lobby and front entrance
- Public restrooms
- Hallways and corridors
- Elevators and elevator landings
- Guest common areas and seating areas
- Meeting spaces (as assigned)
- Fitness center
- Employee breakrooms and back-of-house areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas throughout the shift
- Monitor and restock supplies in public restrooms (soap, paper products, amenities)
- Empty trash and replace liners in all assigned areas
- Clean glass, mirrors, doors, and high-touch surfaces regularly
- Spot clean walls, furniture, and fixtures as needed
- Respond promptly to spills, guest requests, or cleanliness concerns
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
- Support housekeeping team with linen delivery, supply organization, or special projects as needed
- Follow hotel cleanliness standards, safety procedures, and brand expectations
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in organized condition
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with guests while working in public spaces
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle housekeeping supplies safely
Schedule
- Day Shift: 4:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekends and holidays may be required based on business needs
- $18 hourly
