Laundry Attendant

The primary purpose of the position is to maintain excellent housekeeping standards, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. The Laundry Attendant is expected to provide prompt, courteous, friendly and professional service to all Canad Inns guests at all times. They are responsible for maintaining superior quality service for guests. Performing their jobs on a daily basis, they are required to be detailed in every aspect of their work while maintaining an efficient pace. The Laundry Attendant will adhere to all rules and guidelines as set to all department employees. The Laundry Attendant may be called on at time to perform or assist with the tasks of a House Attendant or Room Attendant.

Important Notice: This position is located in Portage la Prairie, MB.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Assist House Attendants and Room Attendants when necessary.
• Clean and maintain laundry room equipment and linens, including daily cleaning of lint traps.
• Ensure efficient and proper operation of laundry equipment.
• Keep the laundry area organized and clean.
• Supply adequate linens for Room Attendants to complete their duties.
• Handle and store cleaning agents according to regulations.
• Identify and report linens not belonging to Canad Inns.
• Alert Management and Maintenance of any issues affecting hotel upkeep.
• Greet guests politely and provide professional service.
• Train and assist new employees with procedures and techniques.
• Work with fellow employees and management to maintain company standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks.
