We are recruiting a Business Development Associate on behalf of a high-profile, boutique luxury travel company based in Los Angeles. Built on an exceptional reputation and an elite client roster, this company has grown almost entirely through word of mouth — and now they are ready to grow intentionally. This is a rare opportunity to sell something people genuinely love buying.
The Opportunity
You will identify and win new business within the mid-market entertainment sector — think production companies, talent agencies, management firms, and entertainment-adjacent businesses in the 25-100 employee range. Once you close, the internal team takes over all account management. Your job is to open doors and bring clients in.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and generate your own leads within the entertainment industry
- Build relationships with decision-makers at mid-size entertainment companies booking corporate and talent travel
- Pitch and close new accounts for luxury travel services
- Collaborate with the internal team on handoff once business is won
What You Bring
- A natural networker with an existing footprint in entertainment, media, or adjacent industries
- Proven track record of hunting and closing new business — not just managing existing accounts
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently without a structured pipeline handed to you
- Polished, credible, and at ease in high-end client environments
- Understanding of the luxury market and the expectations that come with it
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in luxury travel, hospitality, or entertainment services
- Existing relationships with mid-size entertainment companies or talent-adjacent businesses
- Experience as an independent sales contractor or consultant
