We are recruiting a Station Manager on behalf of a major international airline operating at Miami International Airport. This is a senior operational role for an experienced airport professional ready to lead ground handling performance and deliver a best-in-class passenger experience.
The Role
You will oversee all ground handling operations at the station, ensuring full compliance with handling contracts, service level agreements, and safety standards. You will serve as the on-the-ground leader, representing the airline to local authorities, coordinating with operational control centers, and driving your team to achieve service excellence.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end supervision of ground handling operations, quality, security, and safety standards
- Performance oversight of third-party handling organizations
- Passenger support coordination during irregular operations (transport, accommodation)
- Baggage SLA compliance and dispute resolution
- Ancillary revenue collection monitoring (excess baggage, upgrades)
- Incident reporting and escalation of passenger complaints
- Coaching and motivating the Duty Officer team to optimize station operations
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in airport operations, tourism, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience with an airline or ground handler in a Duty Officer, Station Manager, Supervisor, or Station Coordinator capacity
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Operational knowledge of airport processes, safety, and security regulations
- Proficiency in Load Control, handling operations, aviation regulations, and dangerous goods
- Ability to manage complex situations and make sound decisions under pressure
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
