Job Title – Civil QC Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Civil QC Engineer to ensure that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, managing quality documentation, and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects with the highest standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Site Inspections

• Conduct inspections of civil, structural, and architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor construction activities to verify workmanship meets project quality standards.
• Perform stage-wise inspections and ensure timely approval of completed work.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Material Inspection & Testing

• Inspect incoming construction materials and verify compliance with approved specifications.
• Coordinate laboratory testing of concrete, steel, aggregates, soil, and other construction materials.
• Review material test reports and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections, testing, and material approvals.

Quality Documentation

• Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality checklists, inspection reports, and quality records.
• Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and corrective action reports.
• Maintain quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation for project handover and closeout.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, contract requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Promote adherence to quality management systems and continuous improvement practices.

Coordination & Technical Support

• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and QA/QC teams.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals from a quality perspective.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams regarding quality requirements.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and quality review sessions.

Handover & Project Closeout

• Participate in pre-handover inspections, snagging, and de-snagging activities.
• Verify completion of all quality-related observations before project handover.
• Prepare quality dossiers and final inspection documentation.
• Support successful project closeout and client acceptance.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure quality inspections are carried out in compliance with HSE regulations.
• Promote safe working practices during inspection and testing activities.
• Report quality issues that may impact project safety or compliance.
• Support implementation of company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional certifications related to Quality Management or QA/QC are an advantage.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Civil QC Engineer within construction, infrastructure, or real estate development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and material testing.
• Experience working on UAE construction projects is highly preferred.
