About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and commercially-focused Retail Manager to lead and manage day-to-day store operations, drive sales performance, ensure excellent customer experience and optimise retail standards. The ideal candidate will foster a high-performance culture in the store, deliver on key KPIs and support growth initiatives across the retail network.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the stores operations: sales, merchandising, inventory control, visual presentation, store staffing and customer service.

Set and drive sales targets, analyze sales performance, and implement action plans to achieve or exceed objectives.

Lead, coach and develop the store team: hire, train, schedule, motivate and manage performance to ensure they deliver premium customer service aligned with brand and business standards.

Maintain the highest standards of store appearance and visual merchandising: ensure product presentation, displays, signage and ambience reflect the brand image and promotional campaigns.

Ensure optimal stock levels: monitor inventory, coordinate with buying/merchandising teams, manage stock-taking, reduce shrinkage, and ensure timely replenishment and allocation.

Manage store-level P&L: control expense lines, labour cost, overheads and deliver profitable operations while maintaining service and brand standards.

Monitor customer experience and feedback: handle escalations, resolve issues, promote loyalty and retention, and drive customer satisfaction metrics.

Collaborate with marketing, visual, e-commerce, CRM and regional retail teams to execute promotional campaigns, store events, pop-ups or mobile/online-to-store initiatives.

Analyse market trends, competitor activity, regional consumer behaviour and local store performance; propose and implement improvements to captivate target audience and maximise share.

Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE retail regulations (health & safety, labour law, licensing), cash handling procedures and audit requirements.

Lead store opening or refurbishment projects: from layout, staffing, launch events through to performance ramp-up.

Manage local store budget: capex for store fixtures, store maintenance, staffing, logistics and operational cost optimisation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing or related field (preferred).

Minimum 57 years of retail experience in the UAE or GCC region, with at least 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role in fashion/apparel or accessories retail.

Strong track record of meeting/exceeding store sales targets, improving conversion rates, and driving performance.

Excellent leadership and people-management skills: able to recruit, train, manage and motivate a team to deliver high standards and results.

Good commercial acumen: strong numeric and analytical ability to interpret sales data, monitor KPIs and make informed decisions.

Solid understanding of visual merchandising, customer experience, stock management, and retail operations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English; Arabic language skills advantageous.

Proficiency with retail systems (POS, inventory management), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to adapt to technology in retail environment.

Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as per retail operations needs.
