Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Monitor and optimize operational performance, identifying areas for improvement to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of logistics and supply chain professionals, ensuring high levels of performance, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of products and services.
- Implement and oversee inventory management systems, ensuring stock levels are optimized and tracking is accurate.
- Collaborate with the sales and procurement teams to ensure alignment between customer demand and supply chain capacity.
- Use data analysis and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost control measures are in place and cost-effective strategies are being implemented.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as environmental standards in logistics operations.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions, minimizing impact on operations.
- Regularly report to senior management on operational performance, achievements, and areas requiring attention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, with a strong preference for experience in logistics or supply chain industries.
- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics operations, and process optimization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in logistics management software and data analysis tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve operational efficiency.
