Construction Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall construction strategy for multiple projects.
• Lead and oversee all site operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee contract negotiation, vendor selection, and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to optimize project execution.
• Address and resolve construction challenges, including delays, budget issues, and resource management.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain construction excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
• Ensure adherence to local construction laws, permits, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Excellent project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and stakeholder coordination.
• Knowledge of construction software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project is preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
