About the job Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Review of specifications and prepares list of suppliers and subcontractor packages for different Project Disciplines.
  • Prepare comparison sheets for main suppliers and subcontractor's prices for different project items and recommend the most competitive ones according to material submittal.
  • Responsible to issue and follow-up purchasing orders of required materials to avoid any delay of work progress.
  • Negotiation and finalization of the prices for materials and MEP Project subcontract works.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for the material submittals in compliance with specs and local authority approvals.
  • Providing periodic reporting to top management on purchasing, controls and processes.
  • Reduced costs by streamlining contract bidding and procurement processes to assure best prices for materials and services.
  • Performs detailed research in supplier selection, sourcing and value assessment to form best overall strategy for long-term gain.
  • Manages purchasing budget to determine feasibility of contracts and exceed savings goals.
