Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a portfolio of mining and metals projects by closely
collaborating with respective project teams.
Contribute to the development of companys strategic plans and initiatives.
Ensure the projects align with the companys strategic goals, focusing on operational excellence, revenue
generation, cost management, and sustainability.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring scope, schedule, resources, and budgets are defined
and adhered to.
Monitor the execution of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and with the
highest quality standards against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Own the P&L for multiple projects, ensuring financial health and profitability of the company.
Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and provide regular, comprehensive updates on
project status, progress, finances, risks, and outcomes.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, best practices, and company policies across all
projects.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure project adherence to governance standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all projects.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project plans, processes, and outcomes. Maintain accurate
records of project progress, changes, and decisions.
Establish and enforce PMO governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field. A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
15-20 years of experience in a similar role.
Candidates with PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification will be preferred.
Mining and Metals consulting experience with MBB or Big-4 will be advantageous.
In-depth understanding of mining project lifecycle from exploration to production to closure.
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and multiple P&L responsibilities.
Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
French language proficiency will be an added advantage.
