Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the technology strategy, aligning IT initiatives with the overall business goals of the game development company.
- Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring it supports high-performance, scalability, and security for gaming applications.
- Lead and manage the IT team, including software developers, system architects, and IT support personnel.
- Ensure the integration of emerging technologies and trends in game development, such as cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of game applications, ensuring a seamless player experience across platforms.
- Establish and maintain IT governance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, and marketing, to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Manage the budgeting and resource allocation for IT projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
- Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve processes and system efficiency.
- Ensure that the companys data security, privacy, and protection protocols are maintained to safeguard user data.
- Drive innovation and technological advancements within the game development processes, staying ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in the gaming industry or mobile app development.
- Strong experience with game development technologies such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing cloud-based infrastructures.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects, system architecture, and enterprise-level applications.
- Excellent understanding of IT security principles, especially in relation to gaming apps and online platforms.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to innovate and drive technology solutions that enhance the gaming experience and business outcomes.
