Job Title: Commercial/Contracts Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial/Contracts Manager with a strong background in fit-out and interior design projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, managing contracts, pricing, and procurement, and ensuring profitability. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to lead teams to successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial management of fit-out and interior design projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee the tendering process, including contract negotiation, pricing, and submission.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies.
  • Assess risks, resolve disputes, and handle variations or claims.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare and review contract documentation, ensuring all parties meet their obligations.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, reporting to senior management.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, contracts, and agreements with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial or contracts management within the fit-out and interior design industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and commercial practices.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale fit-out projects and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with high-end residential or commercial interior design projects.
