About the job Interior Designer
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop interior design concepts that align with the brand vision and elevate the guest experience.
- Collaborate with the management team to understand project requirements, including budget, timeline, and guest preferences.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing spaces and identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement.
- Create detailed design proposals, including mood boards, floor plans, and material samples, to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Select and source furniture, fixtures, lighting, fabrics, and accessories that meet quality standards, budget constraints, and aesthetic objectives.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and artisans to ensure timely and accurate execution of design plans.
- Oversee the installation and styling of furnishings and decor elements to achieve the desired look and feel.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to maintain design integrity and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design practices to inform design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
- Provide design guidance and support to the operations team, including housekeeping and maintenance staff, to maintain the visual appeal and functionality of interior spaces.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in the hospitality or boutique accommodation sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into cohesive design solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building practices is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel to different properties and work outside regular business hours when necessary.
- Portfolio showcasing previous design projects and achievements.
