About the job Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and develop interior design concepts that align with the brand vision and elevate the guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the management team to understand project requirements, including budget, timeline, and guest preferences.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing spaces and identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement.
  • Create detailed design proposals, including mood boards, floor plans, and material samples, to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Select and source furniture, fixtures, lighting, fabrics, and accessories that meet quality standards, budget constraints, and aesthetic objectives.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and artisans to ensure timely and accurate execution of design plans.
  • Oversee the installation and styling of furnishings and decor elements to achieve the desired look and feel.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to maintain design integrity and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design practices to inform design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide design guidance and support to the operations team, including housekeeping and maintenance staff, to maintain the visual appeal and functionality of interior spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in the hospitality or boutique accommodation sector.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into cohesive design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building practices is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel to different properties and work outside regular business hours when necessary.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous design projects and achievements.
