Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and organized Storekeeper to manage the day-to-day operations of our storage facility. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, and ensuring the efficient handling of materials and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to avoid damage or loss.
- Stock Control:
- Track stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Prepare and issue materials to relevant departments as per request.
- Assist in reordering stock when required, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Ensure the warehouse is well-organized and complies with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the storage area.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, movements, and any discrepancies.
- Coordination:
- Work closely with the procurement, logistics, and other relevant teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials.
- Assist in coordinating the delivery and dispatch of materials as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or storage facility.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and stock control practices.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Physical ability to handle materials and stock.
Preferred Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
