About the job CSSD Technician
Responsibilities:
- Handle the sterilization, decontamination, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and other supplies.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washer-disinfectors.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and guidelines during all sterilization processes.
- Organize and manage instrument trays, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Conduct regular inspections of instruments to identify any damage or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and inventory management.
- Monitor and restock sterile supplies as required to support efficient operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet the surgical and procedural requirements of the facility.
- Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards as outlined by local and international guidelines.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a CSSD Technician in the UAE healthcare sector.
- Education: Diploma or certification in Central Sterile Services or related field.
- Skills:
- Thorough understanding of sterilization processes and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of CSSD equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
