Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for multiple projects and business units.
  • Implement and manage cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud-based applications and services.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for cloud-based systems.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives, transitioning on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.
  • Monitor cloud environments to identify performance bottlenecks and address any security vulnerabilities.
  • Configure and manage cloud-based networking, storage, and compute resources.
  • Automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and management using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Develop and implement policies for security, compliance, and governance across cloud systems.
  • Provide cloud architecture recommendations and best practices to internal teams.
  • Work closely with IT and DevOps teams to ensure smooth cloud service delivery and maintain system uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior cloud engineers and other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, deployment, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms, including services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and more.
  • Proficiency in cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage concepts in the cloud environment.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and best practices for scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in the cloud, including IAM, encryption, and access control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a plus.
