Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Management:
    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of merchandisers across various retail locations.
    • Schedule and assign tasks, ensuring adequate coverage in all key accounts.
    • Monitor performance and provide feedback to ensure merchandising standards are met.
  • Product Display and Promotion:
    • Oversee the implementation of product displays and merchandising activities to ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Ensure optimal product placement for maximum visibility, using planograms and promotional guidelines.
    • Coordinate in-store promotions, seasonal displays, and new product launches.
  • Inventory and Stock Management:
    • Monitor stock levels at retail locations to ensure adequate product availability.
    • Liaise with store management to ensure timely replenishment of stock and proper stock rotation.
    • Prevent stockouts or overstock situations by maintaining proper communication with the supply chain team.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key retail clients and store managers to ensure smooth merchandising operations.
    • Address any client concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    • Track and report on merchandising performance, including sales data, product movement, and stock levels.
    • Analyze sales trends and customer behavior to make data-driven decisions for merchandising strategies.
  • Training and Development:
    • Train merchandisers on company policies, merchandising techniques, and product knowledge.
    • Continuously assess team needs for development and implement training programs to improve performance.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure all displays and merchandising efforts comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized merchandising environment that aligns with the brand's image.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the food or confectionery industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using merchandising software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
