About the job Network Infrastructure Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage Cisco switches, ensuring efficient network performance and security.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) solutions for network automation and assurance.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize wireless network solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Perform network upgrades, maintenance, and changes with minimal downtime.
- Analyze network performance metrics and implement improvements for high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand networking requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure compliance with network security policies and practices.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues, including root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Switching, DNAC, and Wireless technologies.
- Certification: Active CCNP certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), QoS, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and access points.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Good understanding of network security principles, including ACLs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
