About the job Sales Executive
As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to meet sales targets within your assigned territory. You will sell and promote a diverse product portfolio, including high-performance molecular diagnostics, genomics, microbiology, cell biology, and bioinformatics solutions. Your role will involve prospecting new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales goals in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Drive the sales of molecular diagnostics, microbiology, genomics & pathology workflows, cell analysis instruments, and bioinformatics solutions to meet or exceed sales targets within your territory.
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and close new opportunities by prospecting both existing and new accounts. Prioritize business opportunities and efficiently manage a pipeline of leads in CRM.
- Territory Management: Develop and execute a territory business plan that includes market penetration strategies, key client relationships, and sales goals to achieve market share growth.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct product presentations and instrument demonstrations, both independently and with the support of Market Specialists (MS) and Field Application Scientists (FAS).
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Field Marketing team to organize regional promotions, workshops, seminars, and other events to drive product awareness and generate leads.
- Market Awareness: Maintain a solid understanding of molecular diagnostics, genomics, and microbiology applications in diagnostics, clinical research, molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, and biopharma.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers, including reference laboratories, hospitals, biotech/pharma companies, and academic institutions.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide an accurate monthly sales forecast and territory narrative to management, outlining key activities, opportunities, and challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: University Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Pathology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the healthcare, diagnostic, laboratory, or biopharma sectors.
- Experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of generating new business, cold calling, and achieving sales targets.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PCR, genomics, microbiology applications, and infection prevention/control is an advantage.
